Grand Paradi Towers, a 28-story residential building completed in 1975 in Mumbai's Kemps Corner neighborhood, has earned a grim reputation as one of India's most talked-about haunted sites. Residents say that since 1998 more than twenty people — including children — have died jumping from the building, with witnesses claiming an unseen force compelled them. The eighth floor is singled out as especially cursed; locals recount that three generations of one family fell to their deaths from that same level. One apartment on the eighth floor has reportedly stood sealed and empty for years, believed by neighbors to still house the spirits of former residents. Current tenants describe unexplained knocking on doors, footsteps in empty hallways, and sudden screams late at night, phenomena persistent enough that some have sought counseling to cope with living there.
