LOCATION
Why is Abbey House, Cambridge said to be haunted?
Abbey House, also called Old Abbey House, is a 17th-century building on the corner of Beche Road and Abbey Road in the Abbey district of Cambridge, England, just east of the roundabout where Elizabeth Way meets Newmarket Road. A Grade II listed structure with two storeys and attics, parts of it may date from even earlier construction. It has long carried a double reputation locally β as the oldest continuously inhabited house in Cambridge and, separately, as its most haunted, with generations of residents and neighbors describing it simply as the place "everyone knows" is not quite empty at night.
